Arpit Agarwal is a seasoned professional with over 14 years of experience in the startup ecosystem. He is currently volunteering at India Deeptech, where he is actively involved in building an enabling ecosystem for deeptech entrepreneurs in India. Arpit has a deep love for new technologies and how they can change the world we live in. He is most passionately involved in imagining the future and working closely with world-class founders in making it happen. Arpit's journey in the startup ecosystem began in 2006 when he actively promoted startups after his first brush with it at the first BarCamp in Bangalore. He later joined hands with fellow campers to start Headstart Network, which is now India's leading early-stage entrepreneurs' network with over 20 city chapters. As an MBA student at IIT Bombay, Arpit was introduced to the power of taking academic research to market, which led to the start of Academic Ventures, a consulting firm in the technology commercialization space. Before joining India Deeptech, Arpit worked with TLabs, the accelerator program of Times Internet, as its second employee, where he discovered the joy of working closely with early-stage startups. At Blume Ventures, Arpit led science-led and hardware investments, particularly keen on proposals from Biotech, CleanTech, Energy, Electric Vehicles, Robotics, and Electronics sectors. Companies he managed include Cashify, MechMocha, Tricog, MilkBasket, Spinny, Unocoin, BeatO, RailYatri, Mettl, and E2E Networks. Arpit holds a Master's degree in Management from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and a Bachelor's degree in Technology from NIT Tiruchirappalli. He completed his Intermediate studies from REI Inter College, Agra. He has also worked as a Research Scientist and has a strong tech stack. Arpit's vast experience in the startup ecosystem and his passion for new technologies make him a valuable asset to any organization.
