Arpit Bhatnagar is a highly skilled software engineer with over 4 years of experience in the industry. He is currently working as a Software Engineer III at Credit Karma and has been associated with Genesys since 2020. Arpit completed his Master of Science in Computer Science from Indiana University Bloomington in 2020, where he focused on Object-Oriented Software Development, Software Engineering, Advanced Database Concepts, Applied Algorithms, and Data Structures. Arpit has a strong background in Java, SQL, UNIX, JUnit, and DevOps tools like Jenkins, Maven, and Perforce. He has previously worked as a Software Developer at Amdocs, India for 3 years, where he gained valuable experience in these technologies. During his graduation, Arpit worked as a Software Engineering Intern with Genesys, Indianapolis, where he honed his skills in SpringBoot (Java Based Framework), NoSQL Database, Microservice architecture, Knockout.js, AWS(Amazon Web Service), and various Distributed System tools like Docker, Kafka, Redis, and Kubernetes. Arpit has worked on several projects during his tenure with Genesys. He developed 15 REST API’s for the dialer application using Spring Boot Framework with DevOps Tools – Maven, Jenkins, Docker, Kafka for end-to-end integration, with simultaneous unit testing using Junit. He also achieved scalability of dialer services by using several Amazon Web Services (AWS) components like- Cloud Formation, Amazon Lambdas, Simple Storage Service (S3), Simple Queue Service (SQS), and Elastic Load Balancing (ELB). Arpit also developed a Pure Cloud dialer messaging service using spring, based on Microservice architecture and integrated it with Dynamo DB, Elasticsearch, and Redis. He was responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the user interface of PureCloud by Genesys using HTML, CSS, Knockout.js, and Ember.js, and simultaneously using the Jasmine framework for unit testing. Arpit also developed an API watcher Alexa skill for monitoring dialer application APIs as part of Hackathon 2019. Arpit has also worked as an Associate Instructor at Indiana University Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering, where he was responsible for teaching a class of 60 students about topics and DevOps tools related to Distributed Systems like Docker, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Zookeeper, Kubernetes. He was also responsible for grading projects based on microservice architecture and DevOps principles of continuous integration
