Arpit Gaur is a Senior DevOps Team Lead at Paytm with over 7 years of relevant experience in the field. He has a proven track record of working with a wide range of DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker, Git, Sonarqube, Ansible, and Terraform, as well as on AWS and Azure Cloud. Arpit is constantly seeking opportunities to grow and expand his knowledge in this area. Before joining Paytm, Arpit worked as a DevOps Lead at Talview, where he single-handedly worked on Jitsi architecture and implementation, guided the team on appropriate usage of Docker Swarm and K8s, automated the infra using Terraform and Ansible, and deployed applications on AWS and Azure clouds. He also structured effective and efficient monitoring of the system using Prometheus, Grafana, and New Relic, and participated in finding out RCAs w.r.t. system failures. Additionally, he migrated DBs from VM-based hosts to Azure Managed Service for Postgresql. Arpit's previous experience also includes working as a Site Reliability Engineer at Eyeota, where he worked on ScyllaDB, handled infrastructure set-up using Ansible and Terraform, monitored the stack using Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, and Pagerduty, and implemented the process of migrating all the components of an on-prem application to AWS cloud. He also created CI-CD pipeline for the same using GitlabCI and created containerized stack using Docker and Kubernetes. Arpit holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Computing from SIIT, Pune, and a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from College of Engineering and Technology, Bikaner.
