Arpit Jain is a cybersecurity specialist who is passionate about bridging access to useful capital, both financial and technical expertise, for Indian startups. With over 7 years of relevant experience, Arpit is knowledgeable about private equity and venture capital and the processes involved. He is currently working at a fintech firm in Japan where he and his team develop trading software for public equities markets. Prior to his current role, Arpit ran a private equity crowdfunding venture in India. He is also a team leader for the cybersecurity team at KPMG, where he has delivered international projects in Australia, Hong Kong, and Japan. He has also participated and represented KPMG Japan in a data science conference in Milan, Italy. Arpit helped set up the Data Platform team for large-scale data projects within KPMG Ignition Tokyo, which started with three people and now has a team of 10 people. He also helped set up an intern hiring program from India, hiring two interns and bringing them to Japan. Arpit has been on the interview panel for over 100 candidates for mid-career and senior roles. Arpit's past companies include KPMG, where he worked as a consultant and helped set up the cloud infrastructure team on Azure, and Japannext Co., Ltd., where he was a senior strategic software developer. At Japannext, Arpit worked on a project to improve risk checks for high-frequency trading firms, market makers, and investment banks. He is an Apache Kafka expert and has experience in Node JS, Docker, Kubernetes, TCP sockets, and other technologies. Arpit holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Computer Science & Engineering from IIT Kanpur, India. He is also knowledgeable about Azure, infra, Data Scientist, NodeJS, Kafka, Software Engineer, and Kubernetes.
