Arpit Mishra is a Lead Data Scientist at Bajaj Finserv, with over 6 years of experience in the field of Data Science. He is an Electrical Engineering graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi. Arpit has been working in the field of Data Science since his junior year in college, and has worked in the life-sciences domain post his graduation where he worked on Gene expression analysis, biomedical entities identification, text analytics on scientific journals, and more. Currently, Arpit is a core member of the Artificial Intelligence team at Bajaj Finserv, where he is primarily responsible for development and deployment of models to improve operational efficiency and reduce lending risk. He is leading a team to deliver multiple machine learning based projects and is responsible for building a self-adapting search engine for the company website and app. He is currently building a fraud detection framework for high-speed UPI/PPI transactions and login data. Arpit has also worked on the development of customer knowledge graphs and application of graph machine learning for customer representation. He has established customer photographs processing pipelines to increase operational efficiency and fraud detection. Arpit has developed an image search engine for e-commerce data and has worked on building in-house ICR & OCR capabilities for reading customer KYC documents. He has also developed natural language processing models for information extraction/classification/semantic analysis on financial reports, emails, and chatbot logs. Arpit has developed affordability and risk models for consumer, personal, and home loans, which have been deployed for real-time scoring. Arpit's specialties include Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, Data Mining, Text Analysis, Thesaurus, Graph Mining, and Signal Processing. He has worked with a variety of tools and technologies, including SQL, Spark, Tensorflow, MongoDB, Elastic Search, Python, and Java. Arpit is a well-rounded individual and enjoys playing DOTA and AOE, and listening to retro Hindi music. He loves being a part of something challenging and is always ready to take on new tasks and challenges.
