Arpit Prajapati is an experienced Machine Learning Engineer with a passion for developing state-of-the-art algorithms for real-life problems. He is currently working as a Research Aide at Arizona State University's W.P. Carey School of Business, where he is developing Machine Learning algorithms for edge computing devices with GPU using CUDA, OpenCL, and Python. Arpit is also working on an android application for classification tasks utilizing Snapdragon Adreno GPU. Prior to his current role, Arpit worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Nagarro, where he developed a legal contracts intelligence system using BERT-based Named Entity Recognition and Question Answering modules. He also built a pipeline to identify intricate table structures using Generative Adversarial Network and SOTA Object detection, reducing manual effort to digitize scanned documents. Arpit also worked on a server-less architecture using AWS Lambda, SNS, API Gateway, and NoSQL database DynamoDB to store and communicate data in the system. Arpit also worked as a Software Engineer - Deep Learning at Intello Labs, where he developed a fruits and vegetables quality grading algorithm using Instance Segmentation network and Object detection networks. This helped the client reduce the quantity of dumped vegetables by a third. He also worked on the back-end of the custom validation tool for validation, visualization, accuracy matrices counting for various agri-commodities. Arpit holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Technology in Information and Communication Technology from Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology. He is also proficient in various open source frameworks, including PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Adversarial Networks.
