Arpit Sarawgi is a Masters in Mechanical Engineering with AI and Robotics from Case Western Reserve University, with almost 6 years of experience in the field of research and development. Currently, he is working as an Assistant Manager at Carrier, where he is responsible for project management of residential and light commercial products in the South East Asia market. He also leads IAQ initiatives for the cassette and ducted product range in the India market and benchmarks the VRF product range for NPD in India. Arpit provides cost optimization support for ducted / AHU and floor standing products developed by Saudi R&D Branch. He has built an automated BOM summary generator with key analysis report and target components’ list for cost optimization, which is Excel VBA based. Previously, Arpit worked as an Executive Research Engineer at Johnson Controls, where he was the G-PAC product development in charge for Australia-New Zealand and a member of the managing team for new product development of 6 global regions. He was the product registration and certification authority for GDC and had a good understanding of international standards and regional government requirements (energy efficiency and safety standards). Arpit was the only member from India in the “Global Engineering Excellence Councils work group”. He provided refrigeration cycle simulation and 24 hours lab testing support, finalized/optimized component specifications for ODU unit development, and built a Universal energy efficiency and labelling calculator on Excel (VBA based). Arpit was also Yellow belt certified for Design for Six Sigma and under training by ASQ for Reliability Engineering. He was a member of the Innovation team, and his idea was selected in global JCH competitions: I. Compos-it II. Tech-challenge. Arpit started his career as a Graduate Engineering Trainee at Johnson Controls. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Institute of Engineering & Technology DAVV, Indore, and completed his primary education from Maharishi Vidhya Mandir-II, where he studied Mathematics and Science. Arpit's tech stack includes Research Scientist, AI, and test.
