Arpit Saxena is a full-stack developer with a keen interest in big data and ETL. He is currently working as an SDE1 at Amazon, having previously worked at Optum as a Software Engineer. Arpit is a quick learner and has worked with multiple tech stacks based on project needs, understanding the end-to-end flow. At Optum, Arpit was responsible for developing multiple REST APIs using Springboot, MongoDB, and FHIR APIs. He implemented a job consisting of 3m API calls, parallelly in chunks of 500 using Springboot, thus achieving NPI to TIN mapping and solving business requirements. Arpit also enhanced APIs performance, reducing average response time from 4 sec to 1.2 sec. In addition, Arpit has experience in ETL, having extracted, transformed and loaded big data into MongoDB from multiple source databases such as SQL, Oracle, Kafka Topics using Apache Spark and Scala. He has also automated jobs using Oozie, reducing two days of effort each month. Arpit has also worked on increasing Junit code coverages for service classes and fixed sonar issues to achieve Gate level 09. He has engaged in API Performance and load testing using Apache JMeter, Splunk, and Dynatrace. Prior to Optum, Arpit worked as a Student Intern at Business on Bots, where he designed additional features for an existing WhatsApp-based chatbot, BOB. He also worked as a Summer Intern at Wipro, where he developed a Springboot, ReactJs-based web application to book movie tickets. Arpit graduated from Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, in June 2020, with a B.Tech in Computer Science with specialization in Information Security. He completed his 12th from Step by Step High School, Jaipur.
