Arthur Ulfeldt is a Sr. Software Engineering Manager at Yummly with over 15 years of relevant experience. He is a Linux geek, Clojureist, futurist, and all-around tech enthusiast. Arthur regularly gets excited about all the fancy new developments around Linux, functional programming, new programming languages, and whatever the current "next new thing(tm)" is. He spends a great deal of time helping people learn Clojure and Docker. Arthur's professional interests include Clojure, Docker, and functional programming. While his personal interests are Clojure, Docker, Linux, Security, Functional Programming, Cloud Deployment Systems (used to be called DevOps), Amateur Radio (KE6DRD), and Kuk Sool Won Martial Arts. Arthur has worked with Yummly as a Software Engineering Manager and Sr. Software Engineer, where he has been responsible for writing Backend web service APIs in Clojure, Security architecture and internal reviews, Deployment and Infrastructure automation using Docker (again in Clojure), Wrangling Postgres and Datomic, Lots of monitoring, mostly using Riemann (Clojure again), and expressing lots of opinions and trying to help with mobile app development a bit. Arthur holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of California. His TechStack includes Senior Software Engineer, Clojure, Docker, DevOps, Software Engineer, Postgres, Mobile, Backend, Web, and infra. Arthur is currently not looking for a new position, but he is always excited to learn and explore new technologies.
