Artur Tsurkan is a seasoned product manager with over 7 years of experience in the technology industry. He is currently a Product Manager at Google, where he leads launches on multiple Android OS UI/UX surfaces, developer APIs, and unique Pixel/hardware integrated experiences. Artur has been instrumental in launching new Media Controls, Device/Home Controls, and led Facebook partnership to launch Bubbles/new messaging experiences. He also launched Face Authentication on Pixel 4, including the new Always On Display and Lock Screen UI changes in Android 10. In addition, he has launched Slices (enabling apps to host content from other apps using OS templated APIs) and Picture-In-Picture improvements. Artur has a proven track record of success in leading product launches for some of the world's largest technology companies. Before joining Google, he worked as a Program Manager at Microsoft, where he led the MSN Video team and launched multiple user-facing features. He also managed a team of 5 on engineering and international editorial support issues. As a Program Manager Intern on Xbox One Platform, Networking team, he took a feature from concept to launch in 4 months, launching 'bandwidth usage tracking' in 52 markets. He also specced new customer support, Wi-Fi connectivity, and social networking features. As a side project, he built a real-time data visualization tool to help engineers monitor, triage, and diagnose network-related crashes and bugs to accelerate developer productivity. Artur holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Business Administration (Honours) from Ivey Business School at Western University and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science (Honours) from The University of Western Ontario. He also completed his OSSD from St. Theresa of Lisieux Catholic High School. Artur's tech stack includes product management, Android, UI, Search, and Web.
