Arun Pandey is a Senior SDET at VMware with over 13 years of experience in quality assurance and automation testing. He has proven expertise in designing and developing automation frameworks using Java and Python, and implementing UI/API automation for web-based applications using various open-source tools. Arun is also proficient in Data Structures and Algorithms, and has hands-on knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Kibana, and LogZ. Arun's experience spans across both Windows and Linux Operating Systems, and he possesses excellent judgment and communication skills necessary for reporting and prioritizing software bugs in conjunction with the Development team and QA Managers. He is a self-directed and self-motivated individual who takes complete ownership of the product and its outcome. At VMware, Arun has contributed to developing and maintaining automation frameworks for UI/API, using Java, Python, Selenium Web driver, REST APIs, JSON, TestNG, and Maven. He writes detailed test cases based on the session given by the development team, and estimates the task undertaken in an iteration by providing input on test effort required, inclusive of manual test, automation of the new test case, and any regression required around new piece of code. Arun also creates and maintains Jenkins jobs for daily and regression runs, and mentors and leads new team members. Prior to joining VMware, Arun worked at Oracle as a Project Leader for Quality Assurance and contributed to automation framework development for web-based applications using Java and Selenium Webdriver. He also led the quality effort of Java cloud services. Arun has also worked at EMC as a QA Engineer, where he contributed to developing UI automation frameworks based on Page Object Model, using Java, Selenium Webdriver, TestNG, and Gradle. He wrote end-to-end manual test cases, automated tests using UI automation frameworks, and helped other Scrum teams in automating test cases. Arun holds a B.Tech degree in Computer Science and Engineering from U.P Technical University. His technical skills include test, software engineering, SDET, UI, QA, Java, Web, Selenium, Python, Jenkins, Kubernetes, and Docker.
