Arun Prasath is a highly skilled and experienced software engineer with a proven track record of success in analysis, design, development, and implementation of software applications. Currently, Arun is a Senior Engineer at Apple, where he is responsible for developing and implementing software applications using Scala, Java, J2ee, Web services, Client-Server, and Web-Server based technologies. He is known for his ability to build highly scalable and resilient systems that meet the needs of the business and the end-users. Prior to joining Apple, Arun worked at eBay as a Member of Technical Staff and Manager at CSC, working for eBay. During his time at eBay, Arun architected and built a tax compliance system that helped German sellers to be tax compliant, enabling them to continue selling on eBay. He also built the next generation metadata-driven Subscriptions Platform for eBay sellers, reducing the time to release subscription products to customers from 6 months to 1 month. Additionally, Arun designed and implemented a highly scalable and available system for reading subscriptions info receiving 630 Million requests/day at an SLA of 30ms 95th percentile of time. Arun is a graduate of Birla Institute of Technology and Karunya Institute of Technology, where he earned his M.S. in Software Engineering and B.E. in Computer Science, respectively. He is well-versed in various technologies such as test, web, software engineering, Scala, Java, CI/CD, and integration. Throughout his career, Arun has demonstrated a commitment to following best practices such as Agile Methodologies, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Code coverage across teams.
