Arun Ramamurthi is a seasoned technical engineering leader with over 13 years of experience in incubating and building cloud-based enterprise-grade products from scratch. He has a proven track record of building and leading high-performing, start-up mindset teams with a focus on innovation and customer obsession. Currently, Arun is working as an Engineering Manager at Business Applications Platform (BAP) group, part of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Google. Arun has previously worked as an Engineering Manager for Microsoft Community Training, an Azure-powered online learning platform. He started a small seed team to explore and build a B2B2C product around skilling for blue-collar/grey-collar workforce. He grew the team from an incubation effort of a couple of engineers to a full-fledged product team with millions of users and hundreds of active customers. Arun led the entire engineering efforts and was responsible for end-to-end ownership, including the Azure service backend, multiple frontends, deployments, and dev-ops. The product was heavily leveraged during the pandemic, allowing customers like UNICEF to run large-scale learning programs in many impacted countries. Before joining Google, Arun was part of the Windows Server Networking team working on various versions - Windows Server 2008R2, 2012 (R2), 2016. He developed foundations in systems design and worked on various features on both frontend and backend on many core Windows Networking services like DHCP, DNS, IP Address Management, etc. Arun holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT). He has expertise in Azure, GCP, Backend, Frontend, DevOps, and Software Engineering. Overall, Arun is a highly skilled and experienced engineering manager with a passion for innovation and customer satisfaction. His ability to build and lead high-performing teams, coupled with his technical expertise, makes him a valuable asset to any organization.
