Arun Swaminathan is a highly skilled Software Development Engineer with over 6 years of experience in the industry. He has a Master's degree in Computer Science from Stony Brook University and has worked with some of the biggest names in the tech industry. Currently, Arun is working at Amazon Ad performance and optimization team as an SDE2. Arun has a diverse work experience, having worked in various roles across different companies. He has previously worked as a Senior Software Developer at VMware (Velocloud), where he developed solutions in the space of SD-WAN. He was also a Senior Software Engineer at the D.E Shaw Group in the Options Trading Team. Arun has also co-founded two startups, both of which have been successful in their respective domains. Currently, Arun is working as a Software Engineering Intern at Barclays, where he is working in the UK Retail Banking Division of the Barclays Technology Centre India. He has made improvements to the Internet banking facility by enabling users to compute their savings and has also fixed a lot of bugs in the existing codebase, making the software more performant. Arun has worked with various technologies such as Angular-Spring framework, JSP-struts framework, Redis, Javascript, Python, Azure, MongoDB, NodeJS, and ReactJS. In his previous roles, Arun has been responsible for the entire technical front from creating the backend to developing various mobile apps required for the project. He has also developed some cool features for internal operations like custom camera implementations, image compression, and automatic syncing between multiple apps. Arun has also been involved in many idea brainstorming sessions, which resulted in a couple of award-winning apps for blackberry particularly - Sketchbook, Convertly, Walls, and Bolt. Arun is a Research Scientist with a strong focus on developing scalable and efficient software solutions. He is a tech enthusiast with a passion for exploring new technologies and implementing them in his work.
