Aruna Maurya is a passionate Sr. Software Engineer I at Laetus, a division of Philips. She is driven by the desire to solve problems that have a direct impact on people's lives, and programming is one of the ways she achieves that goal. Aruna has a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from Amrita School of Engineering. During her college years, she gained numerous opportunities to learn about research and how it can be leveraged to build better solutions. She even published a paper in her final year. As an intern, Aruna developed a productivity tool to automate the process of analyzing and investigating customer-related issues. This WPF application was capable of loading and analyzing bug reports to display data in a hierarchical format, making it easier for developers to pinpoint the root cause and provide a solution. This internship turned into a full-time offer, and Aruna is now an SDE - 1 in the Health Systems division with the CT team. Currently, Aruna is part of the NextGen Console development team, where her day-to-day activities include analysis and creation of Software Design Documents, writing maintainable code that adheres to Object-Oriented Programming Principles, and end-to-end unit testing using Rhino Mocks. She has 3.20 years of relevant experience as a Software Engineer, Test Engineer, and Research Scientist. When Aruna is not writing code or fixing bugs, she enjoys reading books and indulging in drawing and painting to relax her mind and prepare for the next day. She strongly believes that hard work and persistence are key factors that lead to success, and she strives to imbibe these qualities in all her tasks to grow as an individual and deliver value.
