Arunima Prakash is a highly motivated PhD student at the University of Colorado Boulder, currently working with the Chu Research Group. With a strong background in Lidar Remote Sensing, Photonics, Astrodynamics, and System Design and Controls, Arunima has been instrumental in the success of several projects. As a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Colorado Boulder, Arunima has been involved in a number of research projects, including the ADCS Engineer for MAXWELL, a UNP-funded CubeSat mission. In this role, she designed and tested the QUEST algorithm on Basilisk, tested heritage code such as the Least Squares algorithm on Basilisk for flight software integration, and was involved in Coarse Sun Sensor Visibility Analysis. Arunima also consolidated documentation of all control and determination algorithms. Arunima has a strong educational background, having completed a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from SRM University, followed by a Master of Science in Astrodynamics and Satellite Navigation and a Doctor of Philosophy in Remote Sensing, Earth and Space Sciences from the University of Colorado Boulder. She also completed a Special Student program in Electronics Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In addition to her academic achievements, Arunima has also gained valuable experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Colorado Boulder. She was responsible for teaching Aerospace Electronics and Communications and Introduction to Differential Equations with Linear Algebra. Arunima's tech stack includes Research Scientist, Spring, test, and Integration. With 3.20 years of relevant experience, Arunima is a highly skilled and dedicated professional with a passion for research and development. She is committed to using her knowledge and expertise to make a positive impact in her field and contribute to the advancement of technology.
