Arunima Shukla is a Research Assistant at Cogai Labs and a Master's student in Data Science with a specialization in distributed systems and computational statistics at Indiana University. With 1.94 years of relevant experience, Arunima has worked with DellEMC as a Software Development Engineer, where she was responsible for end-to-end product deliveries, writing micro-services for handling huge data and critical eventing infrastructure while maintaining the messaging platforms, containerized or cloud-native architecting, and data management. In her previous role as a Data Engineering Intern at Niyo Solutions Inc., Arunima designed and developed a real-time anomaly detection dashboard with candlestick visualizations by analyzing application access logs. She used Apache Spark and ElasticSearch to streamline the service to ingest over 70 GB of data from AWS-based deployment infrastructure. She also experimented with ARIMA, Random Forest, SVM, and XG-Boost models for high accuracy and low latency and enabled real-time anomaly visualizations and alerts to reduce the error detection and mitigation process time. Arunima is skilled in software engineering, research science, data engineering, infra, data science, microservices, AWS, SVM, Random Forest, Spark, and Elastic Search. She fiddles with data analytics, functional programming, and new infrastructural frameworks. She is interested in working on software architecting and data engineering-based roles involving algorithmic challenges and impactful product development. Arunima holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Computer Science with a minor in Economics from Shiv Nadar University and is expected to complete her Master's degree in Data Science from Indiana University by December 2022.
