Arvind Devaraj is a highly skilled Data Scientist with a passion for teaching and learning about computing and data sciences. With a strong understanding of computer science and machine learning, he has secured an All India Rank 7 (out of 53,000 aspirants) in the GATE Computer Science exam. Arvind has a demonstrated record of success taking products from the conceptual stage to production and is interested in applying data science for business problems. He is currently working as a Lead Data Scientist at Embibe, where he is responsible for developing and implementing data-driven solutions to improve student learning outcomes. Prior to joining Embibe, Arvind co-founded Careerhunt, an online learning platform with a focus on education in data analytics, data science, and machine learning. He has also worked as a Senior Data Engineer at Mahindra Retail (Firstcry.com), where he was responsible for data analytics using Python/Pandas, BI and Datawarehouse solutions, and implementation of new Business Intelligence Software for Retail Analytics. He has also worked on a prototype big data implementation, moving to Apache Spark. Arvind has a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from IISC and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Computer Science from the University of Madras. He has a wealth of experience in data science, research science, machine learning, SQL, Scikit, Python, data engineering, Spark, big data, Pandas, and MySQL. With 18.53 years of relevant experience, Arvind is a highly skilled and experienced Data Scientist who is passionate about using his skills to solve complex business problems. He is a natural learner and teacher, and his strong understanding of computer science and machine learning makes him a valuable asset to any organization.
