Arvind Kumar is a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer at NVIDIA with a passion for learning and building mathematically founded algorithms to solve real-world problems. With over 2 years of relevant experience, he has developed a deep understanding of Machine learning, Algorithm design, Deep learning, Artificial intelligence, and Software engineering. Arvind's interests can be clustered into two broad areas: Methods and Applications. In Methods, he is interested in creating general mathematical frameworks that can drive decisions from data. This would aid in understanding the fundamental scientific processes and hypotheses that generate this data. In Applications, he is interested in Population genetics, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Cyber-physical Systems, and Socially relevant products. Arvind has a Master of Science degree in Data Science (Computational & Mathematical Engineering) from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from National Institute of Technology Karnataka. He also has a Higher Secondary degree in Science from Maharishi Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School and a High School degree from SBOA School & Junior College. Arvind's past experience includes working as a Graduate Research Assistant at Stanford University and a Software Engineer Intern at NVIDIA. During his internship, he worked on computer vision with deep learning and extended an internal object detection framework to perform instance segmentation with good precision. He also gained great exposure to software development in industry, problem formulations, and deeper understanding of deep learning products. Arvind's tech stack includes Software Engineering, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, NLP, ML, Research Scientist, Object detection, and Object Detection. He is constantly seeking to expand his knowledge and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in technology.
