Asad Akbany is a seasoned Product Operations Manager with a wealth of experience in building world-class products within the Banking & Financial Products business. With almost 8 years of relevant experience, he has successfully led product teams at some of the biggest names in the industry, including Uber and Stripe. At Stripe, Asad is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the product development process, from ideation to launch. He works closely with cross-functional teams to drive product strategy, identify key areas for improvement, and implement best practices to optimize product delivery. Asad's expertise in product management has helped Stripe to maintain its position as a leader in the industry, with a reputation for delivering innovative and high-quality products. Prior to his current role, Asad worked at Rapidsos, where he built a brand new Product Lifecycle Management framework to improve strategic rigor and deployment velocity within the Product & Engineering organization. He also instituted battle-tested Product Management processes to improve data-backed decision making and built automations across tools (JIRA, Aha, Confluence, Slack) to build Product discipline and quality. At Uber, Asad led the JUMP Rider App Experience + Customer Growth team, where he scoped, prioritized, and launched new products from end-to-end. He optimized for rapid iteration + experimentation, analyzed experimental data, and collected feedback from global teams across Engineering, Design, Operations, Marketing, Customer Support, and Policy to inform the product roadmap. Asad holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
