Aseem Kishore is a highly accomplished VP Eng with over 14 years of relevant experience in the technology industry. He is currently the Head of Engineering at Cardless, a fintech credit card startup that partners with brands to launch consumer-friendly co-branded credit cards. Aseem joined the team right after the company's public launch and has contributed significantly to the company's growth and success. He reported directly to the CEO and collaborated closely with other company leaders to improve significantly across strategy, culture, and execution. Aseem oversaw all of Engineering, started the Data function, and contributed significantly to Product. He also focused his own time on hiring, overhauling job posts, improving the interview process, and contributing to sourcing strategy & execution. During his year at Cardless, Aseem helped the team grow from 20 to 40, raised a $40M Series B, significantly grew consumer adoption, and improved the diversity & representation of the team from 15% women to 40% in eng and 45% across EPD. Before Cardless, Aseem was the Director of Engineering at Even, a fintech startup that built a personal finance app to help workers escape the paycheck-to-paycheck cycle. At Even, he led a team of talented engineers that owned the foundational platform, covering employer integrations, payment processing, and more. Over the years, Aseem significantly expanded this platform, helped win and launch several major employers, and withstood 10x growth, fraud attacks, and major third-party production incidents. He focused his own time on hiring, coaching & mentorship, and the business, collaborating closely with product and sales. Aseem also led various SWAT/tiger teams at times, including when COVID hit and they needed to significantly change their offering to keep the business alive. Even was acquired by Walmart for $XXXM in 2022. Aseem also co-founded The Thingdom, a social network around things, and built it primarily with Daniel Gasienica. The Thingdom was acquired by FiftyThree in the spring of 2012, and Aseem joined the team to transform their technology into something new. Aseem holds a BS in Computer Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
