Aseem Upadhyay is an experienced Software Engineer with a strong background in cloud-based product development and the hospitality industry. He is highly skilled in virtual reality and user experience testing, as well as cloud application development and cloud-based infrastructure. Aseem has successfully completed projects from conception to execution in a cross-functional agile environment. Currently, Aseem is an essential part of multiple cross-functional agile teams as a full-stack developer at Oracle. He works in the PMS-CORE area for the development of the world’s leading cloud-based Hospitality Property Management System; OPERA Cloud, catering to a wide range of clients all across the world. He has been involved in several major developmental projects including OPERA Gaming, Front Office Operations, Housekeeping, Cashiering, Fiscal, and Database. Aseem has worked extensively with Oracle databases to design and implement complex queries according to the business requirements for OPERA Cloud. He has also worked on the conversion of web service APIs from SOAP UI to RESTful APIs, decreasing the size of payload significantly and thus speeding up the performance. Before joining Oracle, Aseem worked as an Instructor in Virtual Reality and Video Game Programming at Michigan Technological University. He has also worked as a Residence Counselor at Michigan Tech Summer Youth Programs. Aseem holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from Michigan Technological University and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Computer Science from G.B. Pant Govt. Engineering College. He completed his high school education from Cambridge School, Srinivaspuri. Aseem is proficient in various technologies including software engineering, UI, web, test, research science, and infra. He has relevant experience of 5.11 years in the field of software engineering.
