Asham Vohra is an accomplished Engineering Leader at Swiggy with over 9 years of relevant experience in the field. Currently, he works as a Software Development Engineer III at Groupon, where he has gained a rare opportunity to work across both travel and goods/eCommerce domains at an international scale. Asham's experience in the travel domain focused on developing and enhancing engineering systems that facilitate merchant onboarding, supply integration, visibility of supply, sale, fulfillment, and cancellation. While his experience in the goods/eCommerce space has touched more or less similar system components, it has been a challenge in itself. He is skilled in thinking about scalability, performance, optimizations, reviewing designs, and mentoring, and he always looks into opportunities to add value to customers and businesses. Before joining Groupon, Asham worked as a Principal Member of Technical Staff at Oracle, where he was involved in Oracle Management Cloud, a microservices-based SAAS product, from its nascent stage. He contributed to the design and complete software development lifecycle of the product and was involved in the journey of the product from an on-premise solution to a hybrid solution to today's standalone cloud offering. He worked across teams and developed a deeper understanding of the intricacies of the product. Asham also worked as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Oracle, where he worked on various projects across multiple product delivery models and took ownership of areas and developed frameworks for the same from scratch. Asham holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, and a Business Management degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. He also pursued a Data Science course from HarvardX. Asham is proficient in Software Engineering, Integration, and Microservices. He has mentored team members and other teams to help them get accustomed to new projects. Asham's continuous academic pursuits have complemented his technical skills and helped him envision the product and features from a business perspective. He has used his learnings to identify and develop points of differentiation and value addition for customers.
