Ashis Saha is an experienced IT Manager with over 32 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He has spent the last 12 years heading IT departments in management positions, reporting directly to the General Manager. He has been involved in the pre-opening of three properties in Dubai. Ashis has a Post Graduate Diploma in Systems Management and programming knowledge and experience in BASIC, dBase III, COBOL, C and C++. He also has proficiency in Oracle 9i & MS SQL Server Database Administration. He has gained expertise on several operating & network systems, servers, databases, packages, EPABX’s and Key Telephone systems and specifically in hospitality, on property management systems, point-of-sale & cash register machines and electronic door locking systems. Ashis has worked on various Property Management Systems and undergone detailed hands-on and demonstration of several others. He has worked with Hotel Administration and Guest Accounting (HAGAS), Hotel Open System Technology (HOST), Maxial-2000, Fidelio v4x to 6x, Fortune VI and Fortune EMS v3.3, Inn-Series, Fidelio OPERA & Fidelio 7x, Amadeus Hotel HOGATEX, MOMENTO, PROLOGIC, MAXIAL-NT. Currently, Ashis is working as a Hotel Software Architect at Siri Group in Seoul, South Korea. He is responsible for designing the software architecture of a Hotel Property Management System and its functionalities. Thereafter, he leads a software team as Hotel Consultant to develop the PMS. In the past, Ashis has worked with Ramada Plaza New Delhi, India, as Manager - Systems & Telecommunications. He was responsible for planning for setup of UTP & fiber data network with various networking components for 70 odd PMS PC & POS clients, 30+ local & network printers, domain & mail servers, website hosting, wireless & wired broadband, BMS, CCTV, UPS, other hospitality technology, office equipment, etc. & voice network for telecommunications with over 1300 extensions and 3 PRI CO lines. He has also worked with The Bristol Hotel, Gurgaon, India, as a System Manager, where he headed the EDP team, with the task of maintenance of PMS Software, 25 PMS PC clients, 15 standalone PC’s and numerous peripherals, wired & wireless broadband internet for users and guests.
