Ashish Krishnan is a Principal Engineer at Gojek, where he works as a Tech Lead in one of the platform engineering teams with a focus on reliability, stability, scalability, and improving developer experience. He is a strong proponent of pragmatic engineering practices, functional and reactive programming, and open-source technologies. Ashish started his career in 2013-14 with an ambitious project of building an OS on top of Android (AOSP), which unfortunately failed and was parked. He then went on to work as an Android Engineer at kite.work before joining Gojek. Currently, Ashish is contributing to the Platform Engineering team - Driver Platform at Gojek India, where he is responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and stability of the platform. He is also interested in hiring motivated individuals who share his passion for solving complex engineering challenges and contributing to the growth of Gojek. Prior to his current role, Ashish held various positions at Gojek, including Tech Lead - Platform Engineering and Lead Product Engineer for the Driver platform. In this role, he was responsible for maintaining the lifecycle of driver partners in Indonesia, Singapore, and Vietnam, ensuring their overall order experience, income, and recognition, building trust in the system, and ensuring stability. Ashish holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Computer Science from SRM University and completed his Higher Secondary education from St. Xavier's Sahibganj. His technical expertise includes Android, Senior Software Engineering, and Software Engineering, and he has relevant experience of 6.68 years. Ashish is a highly motivated and skilled engineer who is always looking for new and innovative ways to solve complex engineering problems.
