Ashish Kumar is an experienced Senior Software Engineer with over 11 years of relevant experience in the IT industry. He has a strong background in Microservices, DevOps, GitOps, Openshift, K8s, Helm Charts, AWS, Docker, Terraform, SonarQube, Jenkins, Ansible, Shiftleft, Prometheus, and Splunk. Currently, Ashish is working with Emirates and is responsible for establishing operational processes for a fast-growing distributed cloud platform. He has experience working with cloud-based infrastructure in AWS, including EC2, ECS, ECR, S3, RDS, SNS, VPC, and more. Additionally, he has experience as a full-stack Java developer in developing large-scale web applications. In his current role, Ashish has generated metrics with method-level granularity and persistence using Spring AOP and Spring Actuator. He has also used Spring Config Server for centralized configuration and Splunk for centralized logging. He has worked with Openshift and Jenkins for Microservices deployment and has experience in using build/deploy tools such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes for Continuous Integration & Deployment for Microservices. Before joining Emirates, Ashish worked with NIIT as a Senior Software Engineer and Information Technology Consultant at Virgin Australia. In these roles, he managed day-to-day technical challenges and communicated them to the Scrum Master and Product Owner for any risk and issues associated with the development activities. He was responsible for onsite coordination and bottom-line responsibility of the offshore development team. Additionally, he was involved in consuming and producing SOAP-based web services using JAX-WS and developed and implemented web services using the Spring Framework. Ashish has a B.Tech degree in Information Technology from Graphic Era Hill University.
