Ashish Ranjan is a Software Engineer 2 at Flipkart, with a passion for designing flexible and reliable software. He is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, where he earned a Bachelor of Technology in Mathematics and Computing. With almost three years of relevant experience, Ashish has worked end-to-end on all aspects of the SDLC and designed new services from scratch. Ashish is a core member of the team that launched the Group Buying feature on Flipkart, where he designed and implemented various scalable services from scratch using the latest technologies such as Micronaut, gRPC, and Istio. He is highly skilled in software engineering, machine learning, and Redis. Prior to his current role, Ashish worked as a Software Development Engineer 1 at Flipkart, where he played a key role in launching the Group-Buying feature. He also worked as an intern at Flipkart Catalog Team, where he revamped the Nyx System to support workflows and implemented a DSL-based approach for transformation and aggregation of handling ML models using Groovy. He also implemented Redis-based caching for ML model's responses. Ashish is a highly motivated and driven individual who loves to take on new challenges.
