Ashish Singh is a seasoned Senior Technical Leader with over 15 years of experience in the design and development of SDN, NFV, MPLS, Routing, VoIP, and L4-L7 Networking protocol stacks and applications. He has extensive experience in SDN technologies such as OpenFlow, Segment Routing, OpenStack, and NETCONF. Ashish has worked on control plane signaling and data plane forwarding on routing platforms, and he has experience in multi-threading and multi-core processors on embedded systems. He has also worked on scalable, high-performance, fault-tolerant, and resilient distributed carrier-grade systems. Currently, Ashish is working as a Sr. Technical Leader at Cisco DNA Center, where he collaborates with Product Management to define future product roadmaps and manages product backlogs. He is also leading a cross-functional team as Operational Product Owner and Scrum Master to deliver OpenFlow Switch and Segment Routing solutions on Ericsson's next-gen routing platform. Ashish has 3+ years of experience working in a fast-paced Agile environment with continuous integration techniques. Before joining Cisco, Ashish worked at Ericsson as a Technical Leader and Sr. Software Engineer. At Ericsson, he was a founding member of the team responsible for building SBC (Session Border Controller) on SmartEdge Router by integrating Metaswitch DC-SBC stack in Ericsson IPOS. He also led a cross-functional team to deliver OpenFlow Switch and Segment Routing solutions on Ericsson's next-gen routing platform. Ericsson's OpenFlow Switch is an integral part of its Dynamic Service Chaining solution, which comprises Ericsson's OpenDayLight SDN controller as well. Segment routing (SR) in combination with a Path Computation Element (PCE) is emerging as a new approach to provide scalable and granular control to IP/MPLS networks. Ashish holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Bundelkhand University. He is proficient in languages such as C, C++, and Python, and his technical skills include L2/L3 protocols, VoIP protocols, operating systems such as Linux and Windows, and tools such as Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Valgrind, GCov, GDB, and Wireshark. Ashish has been actively participating in filing patents, Innova ideas, and Ericsson internal OpenFlow/SDN related standard forums. He has excellent communication and leadership skills and has the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
