Ashu Gupta is a seasoned programmer with over 6 years of professional experience in backend systems and microservices. With his last 1+ year working with Scala, he has been architecting, designing, and monitoring horizontally scalable distributed reactive pipelines and RESTful APIs in production. His interests lie in information retrieval, data extraction at scale, pattern recognition, distributed systems architecture, reactive domain design, functional programming, and low latency high throughput systems. He has recently developed a new-found love for type-level programming. Currently working as a Programmer at Rivigo, Ashu has previously worked with Askme as a Manager Technology. During his time at Askme, he architected and implemented the entire backend for an online mobile recharge aggregator, which can be experienced on AskmePay App (Android play store). He also architected and implemented a data pipeline to automate crawling/scraping of competitors and establish a data pipeline for product matching with their SKUs. His tech stack for these projects included Scala, Akka, Slick, PostgreSQL, Redis, Akka-HTTP, Akka-Streams, and Cats. Prior to Askme, Ashu worked with Adobe as a Member of Technical Staff 2. He was involved in designing and developing the implementation of the FormBuilder API to model asset metadata as a set of form elements. As a full-stack developer to the module, he was involved in defining and developing advanced forms to enable WYSWIG editing of metadata schema and page custom search facets for personalized search experience. His tech stack for this project included CQ, AEM, DAM, Servlets 2.5, Apache Jackrabbit, Apache Sling, JSP, Javascript (jQuery), Html5, and CSS. Ashu holds an Integrated Dual Degree in Computer Science from the Institute of Technology, BHU. His tech stack includes Scala, Information Retrieval, Backend, Microservices, Redis, Mobile, Search, Software Engineer, Javascript, and Android. With 13.12 years of relevant experience, Ashu is a highly skilled and experienced programmer who is passionate about designing and developing scalable and reactive systems.
