Ashwani Paliwal is a cybersecurity expert with over 7 years of experience in cloud security, network security, and privacy. He is the Founder of SecOps Solution, a full-stack cybersecurity assessment platform that identifies the top 1% security risks that could have the maximum impact on an organization, saving millions of dollars and hundreds of hours of engineering effort in patchwork and remediation. Ashwani's platform is an AI-powered agent-less platform for Vulnerability Management and remediating misconfigurations in applications and the cloud, which can configure and start protecting assets within seconds, not days. Ashwani has previously worked as a Software Engineer - Security at Versa Networks, where he designed and developed security modules and optimized the performance of the platform. He built a malware detection system as part of the security offering of the SD-WAN product, redesigned the complete build and release process of the security framework, and performed Blackbox Pentesting for the product. He also migrated the codebase from Python 2 to Python 3, emphasizing increasing the security robustness of the system. As a Member of Technical Staff at Deepfence, Ashwani was part of the founding engineering team and was tasked with R&D of the platform and pilot demonstrations. He developed a versatile firewalling system for Docker, Kubernetes, and all flavors of Linux, built a machine learning model for Anomaly detection in cloud infrastructure, and created WebSocket streaming pipelines to optimize and scale the product from 100 to 1000 hosts. He also improved the packet monitoring tool for encrypted data over TLS 1.3 protocol, added support for Kubernetes for the Deepfence platform, and implemented a POC of the Deepfence platform on Equifax Data Breach exploit. He also enhanced the Vulnerability Scanning feature by enabling real-time vulnerability detection from 50+ databases worldwide. Ashwani holds a Master of Science in Information Security from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from the University of Mumbai.
