Ashwin Athram is a Telecom, Networking, and Embedded professional with over 15 years of experience in Software development, Integration, and Testing. He is currently working as the GM, Devices at Jio where he is responsible for End to End Multicast feature validation, Integration, and testing. He is also involved in detailed debugging of various issues during deployment and played an active role in the implementation of features by third-party software vendors. Ashwin is an expert in ensuring HSI, Video, and VoIP quality and has worked on Timing (ToD/1PPS) requirements of LTE backhaul using GPON SFPs. Ashwin has technical expertise in field and internal QA reported issues and ensures the smooth passage of QA validation to field deployment of GPON devices. He is also responsible for FCAPS validation on devices based on GPON/OMCI transport and OMCI and GPON related issue SPOC reported from the field. Ashwin has experience in interacting with vendors for quick resolution of outstanding issues and has expertise in VoIP testing on GPON devices. Ashwin has worked with Cisco as a Software Engineer and with Alphion Corporation as a Technical Team Lead. At Alphion Corporation, he was responsible for the development of GPON ONT/OLT software, board bring up for new ONT device platforms, OMCI stack code maintenance, and issue resolution during interoperability with Alphion OLT and other OEM OLTs. He has also added new software features based on customer requirements, managed release management, and reported status and technical troubleshooting. Ashwin has completed his M.Tech in Control & Instrumentation from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology. He has expertise in Test, Integration, Software Engineering, QA, Python, and Android. With 19.85 years of relevant experience, Ashwin is a highly skilled professional in the Telecom, Networking, and Embedded domain.
