He is particularly interested in pursuing innovative uses of data insights and Java is his go-to means to achieve this. He considers the technology universe surrounding Java as his playground. Ashwin has a rich work history, having served as the Chief Architect at Yakit, where he built some of the most game-changing systems for automatic product harmonization, unified package tracking, multi-carrier shipping, intelligent packaging, and real-time shopping cart quoting in the industry. He is proud of the amazing engineering team he built at Yakit, which shared his dream. Before joining Yakit, Ashwin worked at Yahoo as a Principal Engineer, where he architected systems for big data ingestion, enrichment, and disambiguation. He also developed and optimized RESTful web services for high traffic properties. Ashwin is an open-source evangelist, Java hacker, and product dreamer. Ashwin holds an MS in Computer Science from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from L.D College of Engineering.
