Ashwin Srinivasan is an experienced ML Engineer with a passion for ideation and product development. With 4 years of experience in building products from scratch and leading teams, he has developed a broad skillset in Python, Transformers, Vector-based search, Data Engineering, and Backend Web Development. Ashwin believes that we have reached an inflection point in Natural Language Understanding due to Transformers and Foundation models, which have brought down the barrier for smaller players to build innovative products. He specializes in creating value for smaller-scale products and has worked on almost all aspects of Natural Language Processing and product building, including NERs, Embedding-based recommendations, Question and Answering systems, Fine-tuning Transformer Models, Utilizing sentence and word embeddings for ML models, Web Apps (Internal and Client Facing), ETL pipelines, Video analysis pipelines, and Building and maintaining a Knowledge Graph. Currently working as a Senior Software Development Engineer - 2 at Zoomrx, Ashwin has also worked as a Senior Developer at the same company in the past. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Sri Venkateshwara College of Engineering, where he graduated in 2014.
