Ashwin Vaswani is a highly accomplished individual with a diverse range of skills and expertise. He is currently a Pre Doctoral Fellow at Google, where he has developed a Hierarchy Aware Multi-label Classification technique with impressive results. He has also led a project to detect redundant entities in Google's JFT, adding important Indian food entities and proposing an Indian food test dataset for Google's Foodnet. Ashwin has demonstrated a 15% percentage accuracy improvement on 4-bit quantized ResNet models with checkpoint loading/distillation. Prior to his work at Google, Ashwin co-founded Strayscue, a social impact initiative aimed at addressing issues faced by stray animals. He also worked as a Data Science Intern at CommerceIQ, where he developed automatic creation and use of Digital Shelves in winning e-commerce markets, identifying important keywords for mining and ad campaign generation. Ashwin has a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and is currently pursuing a Masters in Computer Vision from Carnegie Mellon University. He has a strong technical background, with experience in ResNet, test, dotNET, Research Scientist, and Data Scientist.
