Asifa Sunar is an experienced leader in the software industry with a demonstrated history of working in the IT industry. She is currently the VP Engineering and India Head at autogrid, where she is responsible for leading the engineering team and driving innovation in the company. Asifa has a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) degree focused in Computer Applications from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. She has over 14 years of relevant experience in the industry, with expertise in senior software engineering, mobile, testing, frontend and backend development, SDET, Android, iOS, and web technologies. Prior to her current role, Asifa was the Founder of leadme.live and the Senior Vice President at mobile premier league. At MPL, she was a founding team member and had the opportunity to build the product, hire excellent talent, build the team, and create a process and culture that allowed the company to scale operations with the massive growth that it witnessed. She contributed to a variety of engineering problems at MPL, including game servers, streaming, backend rest services, front-end technologies like react, unity, android, and iOS. Asifa was also responsible for product delivery aspects like release planning and release management for individual country launches as well as global product launches. She led the efforts for test automation for backend, frontend, web, and real-time monitoring, and ensured the quality of games ranging from casual games, fantasy games, and card-based games through automation. As part of Quality and Fraud, Asifa managed large teams responsible for fraud, performance, and quality engineering. She led the efforts of building compliance features and certifications like No-Bots with UKGC standards. She also set up the security team with the help of third-party agencies and ran the app, cloud, and network penetration testing, and set up devsecops automation.
