Atul Girishkumar is an accomplished ITOM and ITAM engineer with around 7 years of relevant software development experience using cutting-edge technologies. He is highly competent in both frontend and backend with DevOps and has a strong knowledge of all phases of the SDLC. Currently working as the Lead Software Engineer at Freshworks, Atul has been responsible for major work areas such as IT Orchestration, SaaS Application Management, and Multi-Cloud Management. He has also been the Squad Lead for the team handling the middleware product for ITAM and the Tech lead for squads working on IT Orchestration, Cloud Discovery & SaaS Application Discovery. Atul has single-handedly done the containerization & Kubernetes onboarding for the Orchestrator product and designed the high-level architecture of middleware products for Cloud & On-premise discovery and SaaS Application Discovery. Atul has also been responsible for designing high-level and low-level solutions, owning Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Retrospective & Daily Scrum ceremonies, and interviewing prospects. He has received multiple Squad & Spot Award recognition and was among the Top 10 winners in the company-wide hackathon. Atul is highly skilled in Java, Async Programming, Software Architecture, Distributed Computing, Design Patterns, Microservices, and Product Management. He has a keen interest in the latest technologies and is always eager to learn more. Apart from his work, Atul loves traveling and playing and coaching basketball. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Information Technology from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
