Aveek Roy is a Senior Data Engineer at SAP Labs India with over 12 years of experience in the field of Data Engineering. He is an AWS, Tableau, and MCSE certified Business Intelligence Consultant with expertise in delivering projects, both in teams and end-to-end delivery in a standalone manner, in several fields of AWS, PowerBI, Tableau, and MSBI (including Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS). Aveek has worked on multiple data engineering projects involving multiple AWS technologies such as Glue, Lambda, RDS, CloudFormation, Data Migration Service, etc. He is also experienced in Spark programming and working with Databricks. He is a Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (SQL Server - 2012) with expertise in AWS, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, T-SQL, SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS. Prior to his current role at SAP, Aveek worked as a Business Intelligence and Analytics Consultant at Thorogood Associates and as a Data Engineer at Amazon. At Amazon, he participated in meetings with clients and elicited requirements from them, understood the business, and provided different reporting solutions. He also developed ETLs to transform the data in the data warehouse and created reports by using OBIEE for different client needs. Aveek holds a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Physics from Sri Venkateshwara College, University of Delhi.
