Avik Shee is a Web Entrepreneur and DevOps Engineer with a passion for infrastructure design and automation. He is currently working as a DevOps Architect at devops, where he has expertise in Docker, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery, orchestration tools such as Mesos and Swarm, and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet. Avik is responsible for implementing infrastructure design, adhering to best software development standards and practices, and driving improvements to build system scripts, tools, and processes. He has experience with test orchestration, infrastructure automation in AWS (CloudFormation) & Terraform, and familiarity with SQL, NoSQL, and other databases. Avik has worked independently as the technical lead for assigned projects representing DevOps. Previously, Avik worked as a DevOps Engineer & Freelance Web Developer at woorank, where he worked with PHP frameworks including Laravel, Yii, Symfony, CodeIgniter, and Zend. He has hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) related technologies such as VPC, CloudFormation, Autoscaling, ELB, S3, RDS, etc. Avik also has experience with microservices, preferably Mesos/Marathon/ZooKeeper/Docker environments, and backup, restore, and recovery for SQL, NoSQL systems, caching clusters. He has experience developing and maintaining Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) systems, advanced skills with Internet and Network security, and deep understanding about production environment operation principles. Avik has proficiency with Bash and Shell Scripting and familiarity with version control (Perforce, Git, SVN, Bitbucket). Before that, Avik worked as a Senior Web Developer at pixlie web solutions pvt. ltd., where he worked independently to leverage pre-defined patterns to produce engineering designs to enhance existing infrastructure platform deployments. He has experience in NoSQL design, execution, maintenance, and support, DBA project responsibility ensuring the integrity and quality of the database execution, and sizing and projecting the appropriate storage size needed for the DB and NoSQL Environments. Avik has MongoDB hands-on experience: tuning, monitoring, etc. and collaborated with the application team to identify and design DB/NOSQL/Storage, etc needs. He has UNIX/LINUX scripting experience, LAMP stack automation, and system administration work: bash shell scripting, cron jobs setup, environment build-outs.
