Avinash Kaur is an experienced Data Scientist with a focus on end-to-end Deep Learning algorithms for Computer Vision applications and Large Language Models. She is currently working as a Deep Learning Data Scientist at NVIDIA, building solutions for LLM adoption at scale. With a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications from VIT, Avinash has a strong academic background. She is also pursuing an Executive Education course in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, which will be completed in 2023. Avinash has 3.46 years of relevant experience in the industry. Prior to joining NVIDIA, she worked as a Machine Learning Engineer + Product Lead at voxelcloud, where she led technical collaborations with prestigious medical institutes in the US, resulting in multi-year IRBs being approved. As a Machine Learning Engineer, she developed and altered a wide range of Deep Learning models for Classification, Segmentation and Detection tasks in Tensorflow and PyTorch using supervised, unsupervised and semi-supervised techniques. She also implemented Deep Learning deployment workflows for the Eye Team, including model optimization and compression using TensorRT, and inference using gRPC, RESTful API, and Dockers. Avinash has also developed a custom COCO-like evaluation package in Python from scratch to model extreme intra-class variation observed in the detection of tiny objects in densely cluttered images. In addition to her technical skills, Avinash has strong business acumen and is pursuing an Executive Education course in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
