Avinash Polepally is a highly accomplished techno-management graduate from IITM and IIMA with over 7 years of experience in driving business growth, new market expansion, entrepreneurship, and FP&A. He has a proven ability to execute ground-level operations while balancing strategic planning. Currently, Avinash is the Consumer Business (Category) Head at Clear and the owner of Black App. He was also among the first 30 people to launch Amazon in India in 2013, where he played a key role in launching mobiles category in India. Avinash has a diverse range of experience, having co-founded a venture called Swati Agro fuels, a tech-innovation driven chemical/bio-tech company that produced eco-friendly biomass called white coal. He raised funds worth 1cr INR and had an exit in 2014. At RBS London, Avinash had a brief stint as an investment banker and worked on credit trading, cash flow models for SWAP transactions, high frequency strategies, and automation of OTC markets. Currently, Avinash is driving Practo's foray into developed markets with international expansion in Brazil (West & LatAm) as Country Manager. He is responsible for P/L, Strategy, Sales, Operations, Marketing, PR, HR, Legal & Product insights for Practo in Brazil. He single-handedly built the Practo brand in Latin America and is the only Indian start-up to have a sustained business setup in Brazil (LatAm).
