Aymeric Beaumet is an accomplished Infrastructure Tech Lead with over 6 years of relevant experience. He is currently employed by rekki, where he is responsible for managing Kubernetes, Helm, AWS, Google Cloud, Terraform, Packer, Ansible, Go, Postgres, and Redis. Prior to this, he worked as a Lead Back-End Engineer at brigad ⚡️, where he led a team of 6 engineers and successfully migrated from a monolith to a micro-service event-driven architecture. He also set up unit and integration test policies, automatic CI/CD, and a standardized code structure that allowed for team scalability. Aymeric led the deployment of a new infrastructure with a focus on maintainability, high availability, and resiliency, and planned and coordinated the technical internationalization effort to reach the UK market. He standardized all the teams to use Terraform to allocate their resources autonomously, and defined SLI and SLO for the infra, backend, web, and mobile teams to prevent performance regressions. At Microsoft, Aymeric worked as a Back-End Engineer, where he gracefully handled the Sunrise Calendar end of life for its 5 million users by adding support for its most popular proxies (Evernote, Facebook, and Wunderlist) to Outlook Mobile. He also developed an at-scale avatar resolution service for Outlook Mobile and successfully deployed and monitored the proxies and avatar micro-services for the 35 million Outlook Mobile users. Aymeric defined SLI, SLO, and joined the PagerDuty on-call rotation for all the Outlook Mobile services. Aymeric has an Engineer's degree from epitech - european institute of technology and a Master's degree from the University of Kent.
