Azadeh Eftekhari is a master-level new grad computer science generalist with extensive practical knowledge of scalable data frameworks. She is an enthusiastic and open-minded individual who is interested in a variety of areas including big data systems, cloud computing, and backend services and systems. Azadeh is a self-taught expert in Microservices and Docker container application since 2016. Her technical skills include programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python, Shell Script, and SQL. She is also proficient in technologies such as Hadoop, MapReduce, Spark, AWS, OpenStack, RESTful web services, and Linux. Azadeh has experience working with databases such as Hive, MySQL, DB2, and HBase. She is knowledgeable in concepts such as Object-Oriented / functional programming, Cloud Computing, data modeling, data structure, and algorithms. Currently, Azadeh is working as a Graduate Student Researcher at Queen's University where she is involved in the design and implementation of a scalable full-stack framework. She has developed a framework that consolidates data from different distributed sources (HBase, Hive, and RDBMS) into HDFS. Azadeh has also developed a hybrid Software-as-a-Service for ad-hoc querying with a user-friendly web interface to access and query data from any device anywhere. The framework enabled seamless data integration from various resources and was validated with several test scenarios. Prior to this, Azadeh worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at Queen's University where she conducted a comprehensive review of Multi-Tenant Software-As-A-Service (SaaS). She surveyed state-of-the-art software-based classification methods of multi-tenant SaaS, focused on configuration/customization at application and middleware levels, and data-related aspects. Azadeh simplified the selection of suitable multi-tenant SaaS models by introducing objective measures. Azadeh has also worked as a Student at Queen's University where she designed and developed an application where users can add a new movie, a new critic and review, list the reviews for a movie, and list the current movies with the highest ranking and where and when they are on screen. She enhanced scalability of the application by implementing it in Spark on Amazon EC2. Azadeh holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Queen's University.
