Badri Narayan Manicka is an accomplished Techno-manager with over 15 years of experience in building distributed systems and high performing teams. He currently serves as the VP of Engineering at Koo India, where he has been instrumental in building teams from scratch. His teams have successfully rewritten monoliths into distributed systems with 99.999% uptime, with sub-millisecond latency, enabling enterprises to scale horizontally. Badri's expertise lies in training his team in Erlang, a programming language designed for building scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems. He has a proven track record of building cross-functional teams that work towards achieving business goals. Prior to joining Koo, Badri served as an Engineering Manager II at Google, where he led the Deals and Incentives team. His goal was to automate multi-billion dollar deal programs across Google Ads. Before that, he was the Director of Engineering at Redbus, where he was responsible for the Transactions platform, Book-keeping system, Vendor Master data system, SMS Routing System, and Payments platform teams. Badri holds a B.Tech degree in Biotechnology from Bharathidasan University. He is a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Backend development.
