Bahaa Samy is an accomplished Founder and Director with over 7 years of experience in the renewable energy industry. As the Founder of eDGe Renewable Partners, Bahaa has helped small and mid-sized developers and EPCs finance projects, build platforms, and create equity value. He has provided small businesses with access to institutional-level capital sources, strategies, and know-how. With a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from McMaster University and a Master of Science (MSc) in Investment Management from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, Bahaa has a strong educational background. He also holds a Bachelor's degree from Alexandria University. Bahaa has a proven track record of success in conducting in-depth due diligence on potential investments. He has created and maintained detailed financial models, including project finance, cash waterfall analysis, mezzanine financing, construction and long-term debt, and scenario analysis. Additionally, he has advised senior management on deal and term sheet structuring. Currently, Bahaa is serving as the Director of the Board of Directors for Food for the Poor of Canada, Inc. In this role, he has been responsible for overseeing the organization's financial operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Prior to his current position, Bahaa worked as a Senior Development Manager for Hassan Allam Holding, where he focused on commercial and industrial renewable energy/solar project origination, development, and financing.
