Bailey Strom-Pillar is a skilled software engineer with a passion for using technology to solve modern issues. She completed her Master of Science in Computer Science at Seattle University in 2018, where she was active in the Computer Science Club and helped found the Women in Technology organization. Her graduate research project focused on green computing algorithms, demonstrating her interest in sustainability and environmental issues. Bailey began her career at Expedia Group as a Software Development Engineer and was later promoted to Dev II. She focused on front-end development, ensuring a positive user experience for customers visiting the Expedia website. She was also involved in the Women at Expedia Group resource group as a co-lead, organizing and running events for Expedians. In 2020, Bailey joined Meta as a Software Engineer, where she worked on the remote presence team, initially focusing on front-end web development before moving into native iOS/macOS development. She enjoys working towards bringing people closer together through digital interactions, demonstrating her passion for using technology to connect people. Bailey's education includes a Master of Science in Computer Science from Seattle University, a Graduate Certificate in Computer Science from Seattle University, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She also studied Computer Science at Bellevue College. Bailey's technical skills include software engineering, front-end development, web development, research science, iOS development, and integration. She has over five years of relevant experience in the tech industry. In her free time, Bailey enjoys reading, playing RPGs, working out, and spending time with animals.
