Bakul Gupta is a Site Reliability Engineer and DevSecOps Evangelist currently working at LinkedIn. He is involved in the deployment of Bluescope for various clients, both on-premise and on AWS, and automating various redundant tasks by streamlining DevOps tools like Jenkins and Docker. Bakul also manages and deploys ELK cluster while ensuring high availability, writes bash scripts and Ansible playbooks for achieving the sense of automation, and is part of the Innovation & Research Team responsible for incubating next cybersecurity soc enabled platform i.e Bluescope. Prior to LinkedIn, Bakul worked as a Junior DevSecOps Engineer at Network Intelligence, where he was responsible for managing AWS instances with optimizations as the first priority. He was also involved in writing logstash parsers for various use cases, depending on the requirement, integrating MISP with ELK to ensure automated Threat Intelligence, and was part of the Innovation & Research Team responsible for inculcating various DevOps principles (Agile{Scrum, Kanban}), guidelines, and tools (AWS, Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana, etc.) with the sense of incubating next cybersecurity soc enabled platform i.e Bluescope. Bakul has a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science from Raj Kumar Goel Institute of Technology, Ghaziabad. He has also completed a Data Structures & Algorithms course from GeeksForGeeks Classes. During his education, Bakul learned about various concepts of data structures and algorithms, different semantics for approaching and solving problems, and the importance of the CAP theorem and other aspects of system design problems.
