Bal Sikandar Yadav is a Technical Lead with over 7 years of experience in the field of Android development, React Native, and Kotlin. He is also a Tech Blogger, Tech Speaker, Open Source Contributor, and Github Star. His motto is "Moving fast without breaking things", and he is a detail-oriented developer who strives for perfection in his work. Currently, Bal is working as an Android Developer at Sisgain where he has also worked as a team lead. He has worked closely with UI/UX and backend teams to ensure quick implementation and delivery of features. He has also worked on Google Location and Map API for a cab application and has worked on 5-6 different client applications during his work period, including an app with Video/Voice calling feature using OpenTok SDK. In the past, Bal has worked at Bobble as an Android Developer where he has worked with all Android & Google APIs and has used several third-party libraries for Networking, Database operations, and Image processing. He has worked with MVP/MVC architectures and Java Design-patterns, multithreading for performance improvement, and reduced crash rates. Bal has also worked on Android IME(Keyboard) and developed several features to user interests. He has focused on clean code architectures, code readability, and code documentation. Bal has also worked at Carwale as an Android Developer SDE-1 where he has improved Notification delivery rate on Chinese manufactured devices and added Jenkins for automated and continuous Integration. He has used Kotlin to ship features, improved code duplication and other anomalies using SonarQube, and integrated SonarQube to improve code quality and redundancy. Bal has also worked on various features with the latest tech and design patterns and developed a library Robin for application testing which is currently open-source. Bal has a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Information Technology from NSIT and has completed his high school from the Central Board of Secondary Education. Bal's tech stack includes Software Engineer, Android, Senior Software Engineer, Kotlin, React Native, test, CI/CD, and Jenkins.
