Bala Ramadurai is an accomplished author, coach, consultant, and professor with a focus on Design Thinking, Intrapreneurship, and Technology Forecasting. He holds a PhD in Science and Engineering of Materials from Arizona State University, USA, and a B.Tech in Metallurgical Engineering from IIT Madras, India. With over 9 years of relevant experience, Bala has worked with prestigious organizations such as General Electric Global Research, MindTree Ltd, and Politecnico di Milano. He has also co-founded TRIZ Innovation India and currently serves as a Board Member, Board of Studies of the Faculty of Management at Symantec. Bala has authored a book on Design Thinking called Karmic Design Thinking and has 3 patents to his credit, along with 10+ publications in international research journals. He has also mentored an EdTech enterprise called Knoin Electronics and is a professor at National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning. As a systematic innovation facilitator at MindTree Ltd, Bala designed and crafted 5*50, a key innovation intrapreneurship program. He has also mentored students in an entrepreneurship course facilitated by Carnegie Mellon University, USA, and has been cited as an expert in innovation and creativity by Harvard Business Review. Bala's teaching experience includes creative problem-solving courses at IIT Madras, IIT Gandhinagar, IIT Hyderabad, Symbiosis, and IISc Bangalore. His current teaching and consulting areas of focus are Design Thinking, Technology Forecasting, Inventive Problem Solving, and Intrapreneurship Programs. Bala's education history includes a Scuola del Design course from Politecnico di Milano and a CORSO DI LINGUA ITALIANA - A1 from Adiuva. He has also completed online courses in Design from Coursera and Technology Entrepreneurship from Stanford University.
