Balaji Gudavalli is a visionary and energetic leader with a passion for technology and customer obsession. With over 26 years of relevant experience, he has a proven track record of handling complex new technologies, product commercialization, spec implementation, qualifications, and integrating new groups. Currently, Balaji is the Vice President of Engineering, Cockpit Software at Visteon Corporation, where he is responsible for the automotive cockpit product software development, strategy, roadmap, execution, and innovation. He manages a large team with P&L responsibility and has established the platforms and the silicon-valley practices to the entire engineering organization. Balaji has challenged the status quo with a mission to build the industry-best software team and has made special efforts to build the core talent and establish the best practices from different industries (Chipset, Mobile, and IoT). Balaji's core focus areas include Driver Information, Infotainment, SmartCore™, and AppStore. He has also led the software technical scrum teams and technology development covering Infotainment and Clusters. Balaji has identified and evaluated the fragmentation of product offerings and defined and created re-usable platforms with specific goals to save budget and time to market. He has also focused on organization design and structure, data-driven organization, and led AllGO complete end-to-end portfolio including business development, new IP creation, royalty generation, and achieving the targeted engineering efficiencies. Previously, Balaji has worked with Zebra Technologies and Qualcomm, where he handled global software teams, providing chipset software for different market segments (Mobile, Automotive, IoT, and Consumer Electronics). He has also led the modem software, Bluetooth, Connectivity, and Chipset teams at Qualcomm and made key contributions to industry-first QCOM HSDPA/HSUPA 3G, 4G cellular technology innovation and productization. Balaji holds a B.Tech (Honors) degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Warangal. He is a software engineer with expertise in mobile, Android, and test.
