Balaji Jayasankar is a skilled Software Developer with experience in designing, building, deploying and maintaining large scale enterprise applications. He is a Computer Science graduate from NIT Calicut, one of the premier engineering institutes in India. Balaji has 2 years of experience in the field and is proficient in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, NoSQL Databases and Apache Kafka. Currently, Balaji is working as a Software Engineer Intern at meta. He has previously worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Stony Brook University where he was responsible for teaching courses such as CSE 385 Analysis of Algorithms Honors and CSE 214 Data Structures. Balaji has also worked as a Software Development Engineer at Tesco where he was a part of the team responsible for building the StockService application, a core component of Tesco’s supply chain. The application was built using microservices architecture to handle a load of millions of transactions per minute. Balaji designed several key components of StockService, including the replication strategy of their Apache Kafka clusters using Mirrormaker 2 and a scheduler application capable of deferring processing to a specified date and time while ensuring high scalability and fault-tolerance. Balaji has a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Stony Brook University, which he is expected to complete in December 2023. He also holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science and Engineering from NIT Calicut. Balaji is skilled in a variety of technologies including Spring, Java, Kafka, Microservices, NoSQL, Spring Boot, Big Data, Redis, Jenkins, DevOps, Python, and Golang.
